Eligibility criteria for CSIR NET LIFESCIENCE

The eligibility criteria for CSIR NET Life Science exam is as follows- Candidates must have a post graduate degree in Life Science (M.Sc. in Life Sciences) from a recognized institute.

They must secure minimum 55% marks (50% marks for reserved category) for their post graduate degree.

The candidate must have completed the course within a maximum of two years.

There is also the option of studying through distance learning mode from a reputed institute.

Candidates should be under 28 years of age (relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/PwD/Visually Handicapped (VH) and by 3 years for Ex-servicemen) as on the closing date of the online application.

Candidates in their final semester/year of post graduation can also apply but they must fulfill the eligibility criteria with the result of their degree course at the time of document verification.

The candidate must ensure the eligibility criteria are thoroughly checked as found ineligible will lead to cancellation of candidature at any stage of the selection process.
